OKLAHOMA CITY, Sept. 24, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ARC Solutions, Inc. today announced iOS and Android apps for its Reactor AI Large Language Model (LLM) that is designed to use significantly less energy than other LLMs deployed by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, and others.
Reactor was trained using just eight NVIDIA L4 and four NVIDIA A100 GPUs compared to the hundreds of thousands of advanced GPUs deployed by big tech companies, massive clusters that consume tremendous levels of electricity and precious water to power and cool.

Ontological classification is a method for organizing entities based on their fundamental nature or type. Conversely, traditional LLMs generate responses based on the vast corpus of data upon which they have been trained. Furthermore, these LLMs rely upon third-party data accessible via APIs. This combination of bulky architecture and reliance on third-party data necessitates this unprecedented appetite for energy.

AI's Insatiable Thirst for Energy
